Mike Jorgensen grew up in Humboldt, Iowa.  He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1977  a member of Phi Beta Kappa and recipient of several academic achievement awards. In 1980, Mike received his J.D. from the Duke University School of Law, achieving Order of the Coif (top 10 and Editorial Board Member of the Duke Law Journal. He then became a partner in two major corporate law firms, the latest in the Dallas office of Bracewell & Guiliani, where he specialized in corporate acquisitions, commercial finance and secured lending.

God radically changed Mike's heart on a 1990 Global Missions Fellowship (predecessor of e3 Partners) mission trip to Mexico City.   Sensing God's call to ministry, he began studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.  In June 1992, the Lord led Mike to join Global Missions Fellowship as a church planter.  Over the years Mike has served e3 Partners in many capacities, including Director of Operations, Vice President of Church Planting, and Executive Vice President, while continuing his personal church planting ministry.  

Since 1992, God has enabled Mike to:

· Lead over 50 short term international mission trips, mobilizing more than 1,300 North American believers

· Worked with over 400 mother churches
·Helped plant over 415 new churches
· Saw over 35,000 professions of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

During that time he also taught at over 70 leadership conferences, training more than 6,300 pastors and leaders from over 2,400 local churches. Out of his field ministry and the work of others at Global Missions Fellowship, Mike edited a church planting manual for pastors and leaders entitled First Steps: Mobilize Your Church Into God’s Harvest Fields.  The goal of this manual is to make church planting as simple to understand as the EvangeCube©!  It has been translated into Amharic (Ethiopia), Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, Kinyarwanda (Rwanda), Kirundi (Burundi), Luganda (Uganda), Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Telugu (India) and other languages.
