Opportunities abound in Uganda for those wanting to go "on mission." Church planting, evangelism, short-term trips, leadership training, and community initiatives await those looking to connect with life-changing outreaches.
Story content
Uganda is at the center of a clash of religions. For over two decades a Ugandan rebel group has waged a bloody war of terror in the predominately Christian north. The group is sheltered by neighboring Sudan, a war-torn country that has watched two million Christians and animists slaughtered in its southern and western regions near to Uganda. Additionally, other neighboring nations are pouring money into Uganda to spread opposing faiths.
Ugandan church leaders are eager for the training and resources they need to reach their people with the gospel and establish thriving churches in the region. In addition, an estimated 2.6 million Ugandans have been infected with HIV virus since 1982, with 1.6 million people dying of AIDS, a tragedy requiring compassionate attention.
e3 Partners is providing needed training to leaders along with evangelistic outreaches to several areas of the country. Included in these efforts is the use of the HIV/AIDS cube, which, alongside of the EvangeCube, provides needed information and spiritual guidance in combating the spread of HIV/AIDS in Ugandans.
