South Asia is the most densely populated, least reached region on the planet. India alone has a population of more than 1.1 billion people—roughly equivalent to the combined populations of North and South America and Africa! This southern most Asian country borders the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. India's diverse economy encompasses traditional village farming, modern agriculture, handicrafts, a wide range of modern industries, and a multitude of services. Services are the major source of economic growth, accounting for more than half of India's output with less than one third of its labor force. The predominate language spoken in India is Hindi however there are over thirteen other languages commonly spoken in this country.
